The win over the New Orleans Saints was about more than a trophy; it was about earning a first-round bye in the postseason and hosting at least one playoff game at Bank of America Stadium.

The bye week is just what the doctor ordered for the Panthers. A number of players are nursing bumps and bruises, and this week of short, relaxed practices is just the right remedy to get the team ready for next Saturday night's divisional playoff game. Coach Fox discusses the health of the team, importance of the bye week, balancing the bye week with keeping the team sharp and rewarding Owner Jerry Richardson and the fans with a home playoff game.
