CHARLOTTE -- Providence Day School won the 11th annual Numbers Crunch math competition hosted by the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. The winners received a $1,000 grant from Panthers Charities for their school's math program.
Numbers Crunch is a one-of-a-kind, full-contact math competition for high school math teams in North and South Carolina. "Mathletes" put pencil to paper in the pre-calculus and calculus level competition, which features a series of timed problems based on the physics, geometry and ratios of football.
