The Carolina Panthers, in partnership with Guy Roofing, are excited to honor the organization's Community Captain class of 2016. The program, now in its 11th year, recognizes outstanding high school student-athletes from North and South Carolina who excel on the field, in the classroom and in their community.
"The Carolina Panthers and Guy Roofing are pleased to recognize some of our region's best and brightest student-athletes," said director of community relations Riley Fields. "It is our hope this year's class of Community Captains will continue their personal growth and achievement in college and in their professional careers and continue to serve as leaders in their community."
Honorees from this year's class were recognized with a special in-stadium presentation during the Carolina Panthers victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football. Each Community Captain received a personalized ceremonial game ball and a $500 grant in their honor to support their school's athletic programs.
