The Panthers (6-10) have the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
This will be the third time Carolina has picked eighth overall. In 1996, the franchise drafted running back Tshimanga Biakabutuka. In 2003, the Panthers selected offensive tackle Jordan Gross.
The last time Carolina had a top-10 pick was 2012, when the team drafted linebacker Luke Kuechly at No. 9. The year before, Carolina selected quarterback Cam Newton with the No. 1 overall pick.
The 2017 NFL Draft will begin April 27 and take place in Philadelphia.
