Panthers draft Phil Hoskins in seventh round

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers wrapped up a full weekend of deals and picks with some more defensive line depth.

With their 11th and final pick of the weekend, the Panthers took Kentucky defensive tackle Phil Hoskins with the 232nd overall pick.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Hoskins follows the addition of fifth-rounder Daviyon Nixon, as they tried to add some competition inside.

He played in 31 games at Kentucky, with 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.
