CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added two more players to the roster Tuesday.
The team signed outside linebacker Carlos "Boogie" Basham and tight end James Mitchell to reserve/future contracts.
Basham, 27, was a second-round pick of the Bills in 2021 out of Wake Forest. Panthers general manager Dan Morgan was in the Bills' front office at the time he was drafted.
Basham was traded to the Giants in 2023. He's played in 40 games over four seasons and has 4.5 sacks.
Mitchell, 25, was a former fifth-round pick of the Lions, who spent this year on Detroit's practice squad.
The 6-foot-4, 246-pound Virginia Tech product has appeared in 30 games in three seasons, with 13 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown.
