NEWTON SURPRISES YOUNG FAN AT HALLOWEEN PARTY:Cam Newton made a surprise visit to 10-year-old Elijah Hughes' Halloween block party on Friday night and brought an ice cream truck and brownies with him. Hughes is battling a rare form of Cancer and his doctors were not sure if he would make it to Halloween, his favorite holiday. The community has rallied around young Elijah; his friends and family and threw him a Halloween party a month early with over 100 of his friends in attendance. Word traveled fast and the Panthers' quarterback stopped by to visit Elijah, who is also a big Auburn fan. "As a mom it absolutely melts your heart," said Becky Hughes, Elijah's mom, told WCNC. "It brings tears to my eyes." Defensive tackle Colin Cole and his family were also in attendance, and spent some quality time with Elijah after Sunday's game. READ MORE
