A new name has surfaced for the Panthers' selection at No. 30. Texas A&M offensive tackle Germain Ifedi is the choice for both Todd McShay of ESPN.com and Charles Davis of NFL.com. Ifedi (6-foot-6, 324 pounds) fits the Carolina profile with the ability to play guard and tackle.
The other four mock selections featured this week are defensive ends. Clemson's Kevin Dodd and Shaq Lawson make another appearance, and so too does Oklahoma State's Emmanuel Ogbah. A new name thrown into the mix is Eastern Kentucky defensive end Noah Spence, who left Ohio State following failed drug tests. If those troubles are behind him, Spence has the talent to be a productive NFL edge rusher.
