While NFL Network will look ahead to 2019 with its annual "Top 100" list this spring, Pro Football Focus has already looked back with a top 101 that features a pair of Panthers.

Linebacker Luke Kuechly checks in at No. 18 and running back Christian McCaffrey is No. 38 on the Pro Football Focus Top 101, which strictly looks back to the season that was.

The pair of stars also represented Carolina on the 2018 AP All-Pro team. Kuechly landed on the first-team and McCaffrey was a second-team selection.

Kuechly made the list for the sixth time in his seven-year career after PFF rated him as the top player in run-stop percentage regardless of position and as the leader among off-ball linebackers in run-defense grade. Kuechly was second on the top 101 among linebackers behind Bobby Wagner of the Seahawks.

McCaffrey made his debut on the PFF list in his second NFL season, behind just two running backs (Saquon Barkley and Alvin Kamara). According to PFF, McCaffrey had the highest receiving grade among running backs with 60 or more targets. His 107 receptions were the most ever for a running back in NFL history.
