CHARLOTTE — Left tackle Russell Okung on Saturday was downgraded to out with a calf injury. He will not travel with the Panthers to Kansas City.
Okung was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but did not participate in Friday's session. He was listed as doubtful following Friday's walk-through.
Head coach Matt Rhule did not name a starter for Okung. But the club plans to have a rotation involving Trent Scott, Greg Little, and Dennis Daley.
"We have enough guys who can go in and play tackle, play left tackle to be successful," Rhule said.
Okung has played five of Carolina's eight games this season, with Little starting in Weeks 3, 4, and 8. When Okung hasn't played this season, Little and Scott have taken the bulk of the reps at left tackle.
Carolina is 2-4 all-time in six meetings with Kansas City through the years.
