CHARLOTTE – Center Ryan Kalil will not play on Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts.
Kalil, who suffered an ankle injury last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, was doubtful to play after not practicing all week. Fernando Velasco will start in his place.
This is Kalil's first missed start since 2012, when he suffered a season-ending foot injury.
Rookie linebacker Shaq Thompson, who was doubtful with a knee injury, is also inactive.
