CHARLOTTE -- Left tackle Chris Clark played through some pain in his knee against the Browns, and he did not participate in Thursday's practice. It sounds as though Clark is still on track to play against the Saints on Monday night.
"Today we wanted to give him a little rest and see how he is," head coach Ron Rivera said. "We'll see how he responds to the work he did on the side. We expect him to be ready to roll."
When asked about the status of left tackle Matt Kalil, who remains on injured reserve, Rivera said they're just going off what the doctors say while he works on his rehab inside.
Others who did not participate Thursday include kicker Graham Gano (left knee) and rookie safety Rashaan Gaulden (illness).
Gano, who missed last week's game in Cleveland, was in attendance and worked with trainers on the side. Gaulden was sent home after visiting with the doctor.
