CHARLOTTE – Charles Tillman is returning to action after a four-game absence. The veteran cornerback practiced all week and is listed probable with a knee injury.
"I feel really good about it," head coach Ron Rivera said. "He has a lot of confidence in it, and he's ready to roll."
Tillman's return is timely given nickel cornerback Bene Benwikere's season-ending injury suffered last week against Atlanta. Cortland Finnegan can play both nickel and outside corner, and the Panthers signed Robert McClain earlier this week who can play both spots as well.
Colin Jones, who has played nickel in the past, is doubtful with a groin injury.
"We've got a mix of guys we'll use," Rivera said, "so we'll see how that all unfolds."
Tight end Greg Olsen, who suffered a knee injury against the Falcons, is probable. Olsen hasn't missed a game since his rookie year in 2007, and that streak will continue.
"He's a hard-nosed guy," Rivera said. "I expect him to be ready to roll for Sunday."
