CHARLOTTE – Left tackle Matt Kalil (groin) and defensive ends Mario Addison (knee) and Julius Peppers (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday's game at Detroit, but head coach Ron Rivera expects them to play.
Kalil did not practice on Thursday or Friday, but he got some work in the walkthrough portion. Addison was limited on Friday – his first practice participation of the week. Peppers did not practice all week, but the 16-year veteran is more than capable of playing without prep work during the week.
"You feel good about those guys," Rivera said.
Safeties Kurt Coleman (knee) and Demetrious Cox (ankle) are out, along with center Ryan Kalil (neck). Rivera said Colin Jones and new signing Jairus Byrd will both get time at safety alongside Mike Adams.
Cornerback Daryl Worley and wide receiver Curtis Samuel are set to return to action after missing last week's game with injuries.
