SEATTLE -Rookie Vernon Butler is active against the Seahawks one week after the Panthers' first-round draft choice was the odd man out at defensive tackle.
This time, with all five defensive tackles on the roster healthy, veteran Paul Soliai will sit. The Panthers have cornerback Lou Young active with corner Robert McClain set to provide depth at safety if needed in Kurt Coleman's absence.
With offensive tackle Daryl Williams out, all eight of Carolina's healthy offensive linemen on the 53-man roster are active, including a pair of players signed this week in interior lineman Ryan Wendell and tackle Dan France. Panthers inactives:
