OAKLAND, Calif. - Linebacker A.J. Klein and center Gino Gradkowski are active and ready to start against the Raiders in place of a couple of Panthers stars.
Linebacker Luke Kuechly (concussion) and center Ryan Kalil (shoulder) were ruled out on Friday's injury report. Enter Klein and Gradkowski, who sat out Carolina's last game but returned to practice this past week.
Defensive end Ryan Delaire, just added to the 53-man roster off injured reserve/designated for return, is active. Defensive end and team sack leader Mario Addison (foot) was ruled out on the injury report and didn't make the trip to the West Coast.
Rookie Vernon Butler is inactive as the Panthers opted to go with four other defensive tackles on the 46-man gameday roster: Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short, Paul Soliai and Kyle Love. Panthers inactives:
