Career Highlights: With 25 years of coaching experience, Woods has led his teams to multiple postseason appearances, three region crowns, two Lower State titles and one South Carolina state championship. He has developed players who have played on the junior college and NCAA Division I, II and III levels. Woods also coaches the Whirlwinds girls track team, which is consistently ranked among the top 10 programs in South Carolina and has captured state championships.
Community Service: In the classroom since 2007, Timmonsville has experienced a staggering 84 percent increase in student-athletes who qualify academically according to NCAA Division I eligibility standards. In the community, Woods' players participate in projects from Christmas food drives to nature trail maintenance as well as several individual players' initiatives.
