CHARLOTTE — The Panthers will celebrate Julius Peppers, and he'll receive the final token of his entrance into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Week 4.

Peppers will be honored with a halftime ceremony during the Sept. 29 game against the Bengals, presented by Coca Cola. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The ceremony will commemorate Peppers becoming the first player drafted by the Panthers to enter the Hall, as the 90th first-ballot Hall of Famer in the 378-member Hall.

The No. 2 overall pick in 2002 out of the University of North Carolina, he finished his career fourth on the all-time sack list, second all-time in forced fumbles, and in the all-time top 10 in blocked kicks.

Details of the ceremony and how you can watch it will be shared later. Single-game tickets are available here.

During the ceremony, Peppers will receive the Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence. The ring is one of three iconic symbols, along with the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket and the Bronze Bust, that represent the elite status of being a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
