On injuries: Out - Greg Hardy (concussion), Jonathan Stewart (concussion), Tyrell Sutton (ankle) and DeAngelo Williams (foot). Probable - Nic Harris (knee).
On who will start at running back: It will be one of those three guys (Mike Goodson, Josh Vaughan, Andre Brown) that we have or a little bit of all of them.
On practice squad transactions: We signed quarterback Brian St. Pierre and released linebacker Sean Ware.
On practice squad quarterback Brian St. Pierre: He's a younger player that's had some playing time (who) we've got some familiarity with on our staff. It gives us a third quarterback in the building learning our offense.
On if St. Pierre could push the quarterbacks on the active roster: Right now he's on the practice squad, so he's not eligible to even play in the games. We're just evaluating him, getting him familiar with our offense.
On the players being optimistic that they can still turn the season around: We're only halfway through the season. It's kind of like halftime of a game. You've still got another half to play and you've got a chance to do a lot better in the second half.
On why the team is optimistic: You're dealing with pros - whether they're coaches or players. Guys are trying to improve their skills and show they belong in the league. So there is plenty of motivation to play.
