CHARLOTTE – The first of the Panthers' three consecutive draft picks at cornerback and the team's lone draft pick on the offensive side have signed their rookie contracts.
Cornerback James Bradberry – Carolina's second-round selection – and tight end Beau Sandland, their seventh-rounder, put pen to paper Monday.

Bradberry ranked among Samford's interception leaders each of his four seasons at the Football Championship Subdivision school, and the 6-1, 211-pounder left little doubt that he could stand tall against the big boys at the Senior Bowl.

Sandland was an FCS All-American after scoring nine touchdowns in his one season of action at Montana State. Sporting an intriguing combination of size, speed and strength, the 6-4, 253-pounder played at Miami (Fla.) in 2013 before transferring and sitting out a year.
