CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with outside linebacker Nic Scourton to his four-year rookie contract on Saturday night.

Scourton was the last remaining member of the Panthers' eight-man rookie class to sign his deal. League-wide, only the first two selections in the second round had signed contracts with their respective teams by the beginning of the week (Monday, July 15), but many have started filtering in as teams approach the start of camp.

The Texas A&M product was selected No. 51 overall during the 2025 NFL draft. He began his career at Purdue, where he 72 tackles, 12.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles in his two years there. In one year with the Aggies, Scourton had 37 tackles with a team leading 14 for loss and 5.0 sacks.

The Carolina Panther hold Production Day on Monday, Jun. 9, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.

The Panthers followed up the Scourton draft by taking Princely Umanmielen in the third round, pairing up a duo that general manager Dan Morgan was excited to see on the field together.

"(These) are two guys that we think very highly of," Morgan said of the duo. "They can get to the quarterback, they can play the run, and they can do all the things that we're going to ask them to do. So yeah, we're just super excited and didn't think we'd be able to get both of them, so to be able to capitalize and trade up and get these guys, we're just super excited about it."

The Scourton signing comes ahead of training camp. Carolina will take the field beginning Wednesday, July 23.
