Kyle Love returns to Panthers on one-year deal

Kyle Love celebrates

CHARLOTTE – Kyle Love, a productive piece in the Panthers' defensive tackle rotation the past four seasons, has re-signed with Carolina. He put pen to paper on the first day of the team's offseason program.

The 6-foot-1, 310-pound veteran became an unrestricted free agent when the new league year began last month but is now set to return to the Panthers on a one-year deal. Last season, as a key reserve, Love led Carolina with three forced fumbles and also recovered two fumbles. He finished the year with 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Love has played in 33 consecutive games and 57 of a possible 64 since 2015, totaling 70 tackles based on press box stats with 9.5 sacks. Undrafted out of Mississippi State in 2010, Love spent his first three NFL seasons with the Patriots.
