CHARLOTTE - A trio of offensive linemen with eight years of major college starting experience between them are among the seven undrafted free agents who have agreed to terms with the Panthers.
Guards Taylor Hearn of Clemson, Brendan Mahon of Penn State and Kyle Bosch of West Virginia will officially become members of the 90-man roster when they arrive late next week for rookie minicamp and sign their contracts. Hearn started the past two seasons at left guard for the Tigers; Mahon started 41 games at both guard and tackle for the Nittany Lions; and Bosch was a three-year starter at both guard spots for the Mountaineers.
Carolina also added Houston quarterback Kyle Allen and Louisville running back Reggie Bonnafon, who also played quarterback and wide receiver in college.
On the defensive side, Carolina agreed to terms with a pair of Big Ten products – Michigan State linebacker Chris Frey and Ohio State defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle. Frey racked up 193 tackles (13.5 for loss), seven sacks and five fumble recoveries as a two-year starter and four-year contributor.
